Day-Use Lockers
- Current UCLA students, staff and faculty can use their BruinCard to check out a day-use locker key at the Charles E. Young Research Library (YRL) circulation desk.
- Day-use lockers are free of charge and rented on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Locker keys are due back by the closing time of the same day they are loaned.
- The replacement fee for a lost day-use locker key is $20. If the locker is re-keyed before the key is returned, the $20 fee is not waiveable or refundable.
Quarter Lockers
- For $20 each, borrowers in good standing can rent up to 2 lockers for a quarter.
- Lockers are rented on a first-come, first-served basis. They can be issued starting the first day of the quarter and expire Friday of finals week. Lockers cannot be issued or renewed during intersession weeks.
- Lockers can be renewed for multiple quarters at a time.
- Borrowers will receive a renewal reminder via email approximately two weeks before finals week and a paper notice on their locker.
- Locker requests are processed during the work week within 1-2 business days.
- Borrowers can submit a quarter locker rental request or renewal using the form below. Library staff will review the submission and follow up with payment and locker combination instructions.
Locker Terms of Use
- Lockers are for individual use only and should not be shared.
- Do not store valuable items in lockers, and make sure the lock is secure when you leave it. The Library is not responsible for lost or damaged material, equipment or personal belongings.
- Only store Library, study and research materials in the locker. Storage of food, drink, items that can spoil, weapons and flammable or toxic materials is strictly prohibited.
- Library-owned items must be checked out before storing them in the locker; materials not checked out and found during regular inspections will be returned to the Library collection.
- The Library reserves the right to inspect locker contents when deemed necessary.
- Locker contents will be removed if the locker is not renewed by the expiration date and must be picked up at the YRL circulation desk within 30 days.
